Annual Day of Public Witness for Children Killed by Abortion
October 12 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Life Chain is held at 350 locations across Canada each year.
Please mark your calendar—the next Life Chain will be on Sunday, October 12, 2025 from 2-3 pm in front of County Fair Mall, 475 Granville Street, Summerside. It will be organized by West Prince Pro Life and they will supply posters.
A small pro-life group called Please Let Me Live in Yuba City, California held the first Life Chain in 1987, and the United States has had a National Life Chain every year since. Almost 35 years ago, in 1990, Campaign Life Coalition brought Life Chain into Canada from the U.S., igniting a powerful public witness in our country that has endured the test of years, saved lives, and changed hearts.
Life Chain is a significant event in Canada, held annually to protest against abortion and to support the sanctity of life. The event is a public witness of faith, where participants stand along roadways to pray and to hold pro-life signs advocating for an end to abortion. It is a powerful demonstration of faith and a reminder of the importance of life from conception to natural death.
